Excellence in Wrist Care: What to Expect

At Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, our wrist specialists strive to provide the best wrist care available in northwest Kentucky.

Our experts have extensive knowledge about the wrist as well as the different types of wrist injuries and conditions patients may experience. Our specialists also understand that each patient is unique. That’s why they are committed to taking a patient-centered approach to care to provide each patient with the best treatment solution.

When developing an individualized treatment plan, our wrist doctors will first recommend any applicable conservative treatment options. These nonsurgical methods may include receiving physical therapy from a physical therapist, wearing a brace, taking over-the-counter medication, or seeing a certified hand therapist for occupational hand therapy. Oftentimes, these nonoperative approaches can bring about gradual improvements that can help with pain management or help eliminate the wrist pain you are experiencing.

However, if conservative treatments prove to be unsuccessful at providing you with relief, our wrist surgeons will discuss your surgical options and help you determine which wrist surgery is right for you. Rest assured that our surgeons not only have the expertise and exceptional skills needed to perform the required orthopedic surgery, but they also have access to state-of-the-art surgical equipment, which helps to ensure the best outcomes possible.

If our surgeons believe that a surgical procedure, such as wrist arthroscopy or carpal tunnel surgery, is the best treatment option for you, they will educate you on the full process and the steps involved in your recovery as well as answer any questions you may have.
