Free Sports Physicals From Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Starting May 30

Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is offering free KHSAA sports physicals for local athletes entering grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Throughout the months of May and June, designated times at different area high schools have been assigned as well as different time slots for specific sports. Athletes, parents and coaches can contact the practice with any questions at 270-926-4100.

Sports physicals will take place at the following dates and area high schools:

  • May 30 at McLean County High School.
  • June 4 at Trinity High School.
  • June 6 at Owensboro Catholic High School.
  • June 12 at Owensboro High School.
  • June 14 at Breckinridge County High School.

Any student-athlete unable to attend their respective school’s physical date can still receive a free KHSAA sports physical from Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine's doctors at 2780 Frederica St. on June 10 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for KHSAA physicals only and June 18 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for KHSAA physicals and Functional Movement Screenings. The physicals at the practice’s location are open to any middle or high school athletes; athletes do not need to be students of the listed schools to participate.

When attending a free sports physical, athletes must:

  • Be accompanied by a parent if under 18.
  • Wear a T-shirt and shorts.
  • Bring filled-out KHSAA physical form.
  • Have their family medical history and a list of any medications.
