Excellence in Sports Medicine Care: What to Expect

At Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, our sports medicine doctors strive to provide the best sports medicine care available in northwest Kentucky.

Our medical experts have extensive knowledge about the musculoskeletal system as well as the different types of athletic injuries and conditions patients may experience. They also understand that each patient is unique. That’s why our doctors are committed to taking a patient-centered approach to care to provide each patient with the best treatment solution.

When developing a personalized treatment plan, our sports medicine doctors will first recommend any applicable conservative treatment options. These nonsurgical treatments may include receiving physical therapy from a physical therapist, wearing a brace, or taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication. Many times, these measures can bring about gradual improvements that can greatly reduce or eliminate the pain you are experiencing.

However, if nonoperative treatments are not effective or become less effective over time, our sports medicine surgeons will discuss your surgical options and help you determine which surgery is right for you. Rest assured that our orthopedic surgeons not only have the expertise and exceptional skills needed to perform the required surgery, but they also have access to leading-edge surgical equipment, which helps to ensure the best outcomes possible.

If our surgeons believe that a special type of surgery, such as arthroscopic surgery, is the best option for your injury or condition, they will educate you on the full process as well as the steps involved in your rehabilitation. Our medical doctors will also answer any questions you may have about your orthopedic surgery or rehabilitation plan.
